Matt Bradbury is an award-winning director of photography, editor and producer. Based in New Haven, Connecticut, Matt has taken part in projects ranging from corporate videos and independent films through documentaries and broadcast work.
Matt started his career in film and television in 2001, networking with industry professionals through a local college television studio. Working as a production assistant on several independent projects and corporate videos, he quickly learned the ropes of on-set production and soon moved up to the position of camera assistant and later second camera operator on a number of projects.
In 2003, local producer/editor Keith Larsen founded Digital CONNtent Creators with Matt. This group became the local chapter of a world-wide network of professional editors and post-production specialists. Working for the group, Matt traveled to industry trade shows around the country, studying the latest technology and industry trends in the post-production world. Within the user group, Matt arranged and spoke at lectures with industry peers, developed curriculum and taught at industry workshops. During this time, he also began shooting and editing a number of small video and photo assignments for various clients and production companies, expanding his career and exploring new avenues of production including high-definition television.
Over the summer of 2005, Matt moved to New Haven, Connecticut, working as a director of photography on documentaries and music videos. From 2006 to 2009, he worked extensively on projects traveling across the country and to over a dozen different countries, gaining experience producing projects on the road with limited resources. These experiences on the road led him to found Bradbury Digital, a digital media company, to manage an increasing number of productions that Matt has taken the role of producer on.
Presently Matt shoots with a variety of new camera technologies. He has experience shooting with Panasonic's line of professional HD cameras (including P2 tapeless cameras), Sony tapeless HD cameras, RED camera systems, Phantom HD cameras, Iconnix HD (POV) cameras and most recently Canon DSLR HD video systems. He works primarily with Canon DSLR cameras and lenses for still photography. His post-production studio has grown to include both Apple and PC-based systems running programs including Final Cut Studio 2, the Adobe CS4 Suite and a number of other professional audio/video hardware and software solutions. |
